Camelot:The pursuit of excellence in equestrianism

It takes a while to distill a lifetime of experiences into a resume but some key points are:

Experience Hunting, Showing, Show Jumping, Eventing, Dressage, Side Saddle, Racing, Driving & producing young horses. With ribbons from nearly every competitive discipline in UK!

Started driving horses at 14 as a weekend job with a BDS member who taught me how to teach horses to drive & drive myself.

Taught my first horse to drive at 15 as a solo project & many since. I enjoy sharing that passion for driving teaching people how to train horses and drive!

Competed successfully in both Show Jumping & Eventing at National Level in UK adding more serious dressage training as eventing evolved requiring better dressage scored to be competitive.

Was a veterinary technician in a predominantly large animal practice working extensively with horses. This was where I first learned how to trim and care for hooves- & became interested in laminitis treatment through our practice's collaboration and referrals to the Veterinary College & Laminitis Clinic at University of Bristol.

British Horse Society Trained Instructor. A very comprehensive curriculum & many exams!

Instructed and judged for Pony Club at Rallies and Camps through "B" Level in Showjumping, Dressage and Horse Knowledge & Care.

focused on dressage after health issues prevented my jumping. Trained through F.E.I. Prix St. Georges before another injury enforced retirement from competition & riding at this level.

Instructed for the Riding for the Disabled Group in UK. A great foundation in becoming a creative & communicative instructor as well as giving back to a sport I love.

Managed one of the largest saddlery stores on East Coast of US. Problem solving is one of my passions so finding solutions and providing good customer service were things I particularly loved.

Competed successfully at local level in Eventing & Show Jumping.

Competed successfully in dressage at Recognized Level in US.

Created Musical Freestyles and Quadrille Rides for myself and others.

Competed successfully in dressage sidesaddle riding against astride competitors.

Many ribbons & awards before deciding to focus on teaching which was really my passion- sharing knowledge.

I love helping my students put all the pieces together drawing on all these years of experience. I'm blessed (or cursed) with the ability to see the big picture & how all the details fit into it but still open to learning more.

Peer reviewed Barefoot Trimmer with many years experience.

Have empowered many students in attaining their goals in many arenas in both skills and competition results.
